Junior and Teen Leaders Club
Our Leaders Club gives preteens (10-12) and teens (13-18) the opportunity to make a difference in Franklin County by working together to plan and implement service activities. Participants have the opportunity to work closely with peers and YMCA staff to develop leadership, job and life teaching skills.
Together, members will develop personal growth through the planning and organizing of service projects, character building activities, and social & recreational programming. Activities include meetings, required volunteer hours, developing club goals and activities, fund-raising and more.
Meets 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month (Oct-June) 6pm to 7:30pm
Registration begins October 1st and is ongoing until February 5, 2025 | $75 yearly fee (includes Y Membership and t-shirt)
An information meeting will be held on October 15th starting 6pm in the game room

Leaders Club Registration
Teen Leaders Club and Junior Leaders Club Welcome Letter
Teen Leaders Club is made up of teenagers ages 13-18. Those who will be turning 13 before Christmas will fall into this group. The Teen Leaders will be able to work with children older than six years old when volunteering at events with kids. There will be some volunteering opportunities offered to the Teens that are not offered to the Juniors because of their age.
Junior Leaders are ages 10-12 (we do allow some 9-year old’s as long as they will be 10 before Christmas). The Junior Leaders are able to work with children six and under when volunteering at events with kids. Since the Juniors are younger, there are some opportunities that aren’t offered to them. We work very hard to make sure that there are plenty of volunteering opportunities offered to both clubs.
Both the Teen and Junior Leader Clubs are young volunteers committed to serving their community and the YMCA. Through meetings and supervised volunteering, the leaders will learn how to become dedicated and hardworking young adults in both group and independent settings. The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 6PM-7:30PM in the YMCA Social Room.
