Pelvic Floor Workshop

A healthy pelvic floor is the foundation for a deep sense of well-being, as it creates physical stability. Sitting, standing, and walking with a centered base from which the spine springs lends itself to mental and emotional strength of all manner and matter.
In this 90 min interactive workshop, Carly guides you through a series of activities that bring you into a sense-able connection and understanding of your body and the frame and the tissue involvement of your pelvic floor.
By the end of this class you can expect to have easier posture and greater ease of sitting and moving. It is hoped that you leave this powerful workshop having learned something interesting and empowering about your own body, and having had fun.

Strength In Menopause

Strength In Menopause is an 8-week group wellness program is for those in any stage of menopause looking to learn how to strength train safely and effectively in a supportive group setting (includes Peri & Post). Starts Sept 30.

Step into the next phase of life confident and strong. Embrace menopause, not with confusion and isolation, but with a supportive community, and fitness goals that empower. Women's Boxing Foundations

Open to YMCA members and non-members. All levels welcome!

Join former competitive fighter and USA Boxing certified coach, Vanesa Chakour, for progressive boxing classes. Learn fundamentals of pro-style boxing, including footwork, balance, coordination, agility, cardio, reflexes, defensive techniques, and partner drills. Open to both beginners and experienced boxers looking to refine their skills. These classes are for women only for a safe and empowering experience.
 
Tues and/or Thurs classes in the boxing room are limited to 5 people. They include heavy bag and speed bag work, technique instruction and partner drills. Students will need gloves and hand-wraps. 
Wednesday class in the Adams Room can accommodate up to 14 students. You’ll learn proper footwork, punching techniques, do partner work and more. Gloves and hand-wraps aren’t necessary.
